Generosity and Grace

Sep

A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25 – Here we can see the impact of God’s grace in the details of our heart and mind.  Much of what we are born with is very self focused and consuming.  But God’s grace gives a delight in living with open hands and heart which frees us up to see the blessing in others along their journey.  Being overwhelmed by his grace gives the freedom and joy of encouraging others along their way.  Being generous with kind words, a smile of encouragement and the sharing of what is in your hand will bring joy to you and a feeling of worth and encouragement to others.  On this new day may you enjoy the freedom of his grace as it expresses itself through your words and your pocket book.  You will experience that life called eternal for God so loved the world that he gave his only Son. You will enjoy this freedom.

A Love That Brings Grace

He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends. Proverbs 17:9 – It is amazing how with just a few words people’s lives can be changed.  God’s grace allows us the joy of covering the offenses of others so that they may begin to hear and see the power of God’s love.  His grace which we know as his love given without condemnation will give us many opportunities along our journey to bless instead of curse, to give instead of take, to honor instead of jealousy.  On this new day may you enjoy the freedom of his grace as it is expressed from your heart and mind through that wonderful gift of your mouth.  Your day will be refreshing and anyone who meets you today will be blessed. A smile on your face will just be who you are and you will remember days like this.

The New You

Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to like God – truly righteous and holy. Ephesians 4:21-24 – Here we see what God’s grace has revealed and given to us along our journey. Sin, our old nature, is corrupted and desires lust and deception which never blesses any relationship. Marriages, neighborhoods, the work place and community are in trouble not because of God’s grace, but because of our sinful nature. Grace gives the freedom of a new nature, created without condemnation, cursing, lying or self-centeredness. Here in God’s grace we find ourselves being refreshed each new day in how we feel and think. On this new day, may you find great joy in knowing that his grace gives you the freedom to celebrate your life in the truth of God’s love for you. Here praise and thanksgiving will come natural and you will see your journey with the eyes and ears of God. You will like this day.

Moment by Moment Grace

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.  Live as children of light  (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Ephesians 5:8-10 – God’s grace not only save us but reveals to us what we once were and notice the term “were”.  That is the past, not today.  Grace gives us the confidence and encouragement moment by moment to live in the freedom of the Lord.  Here we can be assured of the joy to live in all goodness, righteousness and truth. Here there is the refreshment of faith that is sure, hopeful and certain.  On this new day, enjoy the confidence that his grace brings of no condemnation and let his grace express it self every moment of this day through you.  You are his light every where you are today which brings gladness, joy and refreshment to you and those you come in contact with.  What pleases our Lord is seeing you live in the freedom of his grace.  Thanksgiving and praise early in the morning will be just who you are.  Your day is already blessed.
